Using LiDAR mapping technology, the available Super Cruise3 driver assistance technology enables drivers to travel hands-free on more than 400,000 miles — and counting — of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada. Super Cruise utilizes advanced technologies to provide the ease and convenience of hands-free driving. Thanks to Lane Change on Demand and Automatic Lane Change,4 even changing lanes can be hands-free. Vehicle speed is set by Adaptive Cruise Control,2 which can control acceleration and braking while it is enabled and operating to maintain a driver-selected following gap.
The Super Cruise system uses a data connection from OnStar5 for real-time precise positioning and periodic Super Cruise map updates. To operate Super Cruise, you must have an active and eligible OnStar plan.
